    Would it be possible to create a dual layered chip. By that I mean having one chip be the "up" side and instead of using one chip and cramming as many transistors onto it as possible and using it alone use two chips with the same philosophy but with the second chip acting as a secondary processing command. To explain further when chip A sends a signal to chip B chip B responds with the same number of transistors A would normally use but then B takes that load instead and gives A the answer to compute instead of having to do all the load at once. Kind of like seperate cores already I guess but I mean directly one underneath the other seperated with a liquid metal heatsink with a grid pattern to allow the transistors to still connect. This is a question only I have no knowledge of computers

    Modern dynamic random access memory that came out in the 1970s was one of the many things that made the computers we have today possible. I am old enough to remember when the state of the art memory technology on computers was magnetic core memory. Back in the past magnetic core memory was extremely expensive and took up a lot more space in the computer. Also it was typical for a computer of that time to have no more than about 64k of magnetic core memory and often considerably less. Now a person can buy with computer with 16gb of memory for a reasonable price.
